Javier Guevara
Javier Guevara, Ph.D. currently serves as a professor and the Associate Research Director for the Doctor of Clinical Psychology - PsyD Program at John F. Kennedy School of Psychology - National University. Dr. Guevara earned his Ph.D. and MS in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan, and his BS in Industrial Engineering from the San Francisco de Quito University in Ecuador. In his 10+ year career, Dr. Guevara's experience spans the Human-Factors field along with product and tool development, client-facing partnership management and negotiation, analytics and reporting, and extensive collaborations across academic, public, and private institutions. His multicultural background brings contextually relevant insight to his role at National University. Teaching in the PsyD Program's research sequence, and conducting the LatinX Support Circle, Familia Fuerte, strengthens his commitment to culturally responsive mentorship, and intersects with his passion to inspire his advisees to become agents of change within their communities. Dr. Guevara enjoys living, traveling, and learning in the transnational space in and between his three homes: Ecuador, Japan, and the United States.
